Crete Polytechnic Offers New Course in Chinese Language

The Polytechnic of Crete announced on Wednesday it is offering a course on the Chinese Language this academic year, following an agreement with the Hanban Organization of China.

Hanban, also known as the Confucius Institute Headquarters, is the colloquial abbreviation for China’s offices of the Chinese Language Council International.

The aim of the program is to enable the teaching of the Chinese language by a qualified Chinese teacher to students, teachers, and officials, as well as to anyone else in the local community who may be interested.

Chinese language teacher Wenjun Zhang has been appointed to teach the course at the Polytechnic’s Language Center.
