Coronavirus: 152 New Cases in Greece, One Death

Greece reported on Saturday 152 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours and one new death, raising the total to 211 casualties, while 17 patients are in ICU.

Of the 152 new cases, 130 are domestic while 22 were diagnosed in various entry points to the country.

The spread of the coronavirus in recent days has health authorities and the government alarmed. Characteristically, the pandemic has exploded in August, since in the first seven days of the month, more cases were recorded than in the previous three weeks in total.

According to the National Health Organization (EODY), of the total 5,421 cases so far, 1,405 (25.9 percent) are considered to be related to people who traveled from abroad, 2,645 (48.8 percent) are related to an already known case and the rest are not related to travel or any other known case or are still under investigation.
